Domenico Gaudio is currently employed as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor at Sapienza University of Rome, where he took both his Master (2013) and PhD degrees (2017).
His post-doc research activities were conducted at Politecnico di Milano (2018) and University of Cambridge (2019-2020), where he was appointed as Research Associate. During his time back at Sapienza as Untenured Assistant Professor (2021-2024), he also conducted centrifuge testing activities as Visiting Academic at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge (2023) and as Visiting Researcher at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, TU Delft (2024), the latter in the framework of the GeoLab project (3rd Call).
His primary research interest concerns the numerical and centrifuge modelling of foundation of offshore wind turbines and long-span bridges subjected to strong earthquakes.
