Design Methods for Industrial Engineering
We are a research group of the Mechanical and Aeronautical Dept. in the Civil and Industrial Engineering Faculty, at Sapienza.
Our teaching and research activities are held in the italian area of study called "Disegno e Metodi dell'Ingegneria Industriale" (SSD ING-IND/15).
Our teaching activities pertain to Industrial Technical Drawing and CAD technologies (Bachelor's degree for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) and Advanced Methods in Mechanical Design (Master degree in Mechanical Engineering Design).
Fields: CAD/CAx technologies, Reverse Engineering, Design for Additive Manufacturing, Topological Optimization, Non-Linear CAE, Multisciplinary Optimization and Metamodeling with FEA.
Applications: Sheet Metal Forming Design, Automatic Tolerance and Shape Inspection, Lightweight Design, Integrated Product-Process Design, Cultural Heritage, Soft Tissue Analysis, Cellular Materials.
