Linear and nonlinear dynamics of mechanical systems, solids and structures
The Symposium is focused on Linear and Nonlinear Dynamics of Mechanical Systems, Solids and Structures across different scales. Contributions on advanced physical-mathematical modelling of innovative structures and smart materials, and their multidisciplinary applications in the different branches of engineering are welcome. The minisymposium aims at gathering scientists from different backgrounds working on the dynamics of continuum and discrete models across the following topics:
Deterministic dynamic models of elastic, viscoelastic and inertially amplified systems
Analytical, computational and experimental approaches in time and frequency domains
Free and forced elastoacoustic bulk and guided wave propagation
Dynamics of microstructured, periodic, architected, composite, porous and complex media
Vibration-based identification of material properties and model parameters
Metadamping, passive and semi-active control of noise and vibration
Stability and bifurcation of dynamic equilibria across material and structural scales
Modal interactions, harmonic and superharmonic resonances in nonlinear systems
Physics based and data-driven characterization of dynamic phenomena
