Does / do / did (per enfasi)
spiegazione e note: gli ausiliari ‘do’, ‘does’ e ‘did’ si usano a volte anche nelle forme affermative per sottolineare un concetto che è contrapposto ad un altro concetto.
Per esempio: ‘Non sono andato al cinema, ma li ho raggiunti per una pizza dopo il film’ si traduce ‘I didn’t go to the cinema, but I did join them for a pizza after the film’.

a) “Hai fatto tu i compiti di matematica di tua sorella?” “No, ma ho provato ad aiutarla a capire.”
b) Da piccolo non ho mai mangiato frutta, ma ho mangiato tante verdure.
c) “Ti piace il tè alla menta?” “No, ma mi piacciono i tè alla frutta.”
d) “Hai fatto i compiti ieri?” “Non ho avuto tempo, ma ho ripassato le ultime lezioni.”
e) “Pensi che lui sia un bell’uomo?” “No, ma che sia un bravissimo attore si.”
a) “Did you do your sister’s maths homework?” “No, but I did try to help her to understand.”
b) When I was a child I never ate fruit, but I did eat lots of vegetables.
c) “Do you like mint tea?” “No, but I do like fruit teas.”
d) “Did you do your homework yesterday?” “I didn’t have time, but I did revise the last lessons.”
e) “Do you think he’s a good-looking man?” “No, but I do think he’s an excellent actor.”
