I am an associate professor in the Physics Department of Sapienza University of Rome. My research interests span different topics in high energy theory and phenomenology, with overlaps with condensed matter. I mostly deal with problems at the interface between high and low energy physics, including the study of exotic hadrons, the hunt for light dark matter, and the development of effective field teories for phases of matter.
I also lead the theory efforts of the PTOLEMY collaboration, a proposed experiment aimed at measuring the neutrino mass and observing the cosmic neutrino background.
I am the Principal Investigator of the project "Low Energies Avenues in Particle Searches (LEAPS)", funded by a FIS2 Starting Grant by the Italian Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca.
