- 1995-1998: Ricercatore (Research Associate), Sapienza, Faculty of Science.

- 1998-2017: Associate Professor, Sapienza, (School of Architecture and Faculty of Science since 2012).

- Visiting professor (one-month long visits or longer): Max Planck Institute, Leipzig; Courant Institute, New
