Biographical Notes

• Born on March 15, 1968. 

• Graduated in Computer Sciences at the University of Pisa on June 14, 1991, discussing a research thesis on Hypergraph Flows. 

• PhD degree in Mathematics Applied to Economics achieved at the University of Trieste on October 27, 1995, discussing a research thesis on Scalar and Vector Generalized Convexity. 

Curriculum Vitae

• Since December 16, 2002, works as a full professor in Mathematics Applied to Economics at the University of Pisa, Faculty of Economics. 

• From November 1, 1998, to December 15, 2002 worked as an associate professor in Mathematics Applied to Economics at the University of Pisa, Faculty of Economics.

• From April 1, 1993, to October 31, 1998 worked as a researcher in Mathematics Applied to Economics at the University of Pisa, Faculty of Economics.

• Since September 19, 2012, is a member of the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa. 

• From April 1, 1993, to September 18, 2012, is a member of the Department of Statistics and Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Economics, University of Pisa.

• From July 16 to August 21, 1997, is a visiting research fellow at the “Drake Centre - Department of Management Science” of the “University of Manitoba”, Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada). Some studies on vector invex and B-vex functions, and their applications to optimization, have been carried on with Prof. Bector.

• Since October 2022 is the Chair of the Working Group on Generalized Convexity .

• From March 2017 to December 2022 is the General Secretary of the Association for Mathematics Applied to Social and Economic Sciences. 

• From December 2016 to November 2019 is member of the scientific committee of Consorzio Interuniversitario AlmaLaurea. 

• From November 2016 to July 2018 is member of the national ASN committee for the research field 13/D4 "Mathematical Methods for Economics, Finance and Actuarial Sciences". 

• From September 2012 to October 2016 is the Chair of the "IT Services Department" of the University of Pisa. 

• From November 2006 to October 2014 is the Chair of the Degree Program in "Economics and Commerce" of the University of Pisa. 

• From November 2007 to October 2011 is the Chair of the PhD Program in "Mathematics for Economic Decisions" of the University of Pisa.
