Dear Union School District Families and Community,
Happy New Year! I hope your winter break was filled with relaxation and meaningful time spent with those who matter most. It is a joy to see our classrooms filled with life again as we welcome everyone back to our campuses for the start of 2026.
We opened the year with Smart Restart, focusing on helping students transition smoothly back into the classroom. Our educators spent these first few days prioritizing student connection and school culture. By participating in hands-on projects and collaborative problem-solving, our students were able to sharpen their skills while rebuilding the social bonds that make our learning environment so strong.
This intentional start ensures that every child feels a sense of belonging and understands the positive community connections we try to foster. Our students are now re-energized, acclimated to their routines, and ready to tackle new opportunities ahead. We are looking forward to the great work that will happen throughout the remainder of the school year. Welcome back USD families!
Kind Regards,
Dr. Carrie Andrews, Superintendent
