Dear 3rd Grade Families,
On Tuesday, we will have our math test on Module 4, multiplication and area. The students will be bringing a new homework book (Module 5) on Wednesday. In language arts, we will read paired texts involving the history of cats and will learn about cause and effect. In science, we have been studying the causes of wind and types of precipitation.
We will be having a Valentine's exchange on February 13th in class. This is optional, but if your child would like to bring Valentine's Day cards/treats for the class, there is a class list at the bottom of this message. We have 24 students, so please make sure each child gets a Valentine if participating. Valentine's Day items can be purchased at places like Target for a few dollars for a box of 24.
In art, we read Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch. Students created a heart mosaic. They started by cutting a black heart, then filled it with different kinds of paper cut into shapes. The small pieces came together to make a colorful mosaic heart.
In the near future, we will be building habitats for our Marine Animal report. Therefore if you have any small shoe boxes around, we would love your donations. Thank you.
Here are a few things to note:
Please make sure your child charges their Chromebook each night.
Have your child memorize their multiplication facts each night.
