Welcome to Mrs. Yu's Class

Third Grade Families,

Week of 1/6/24: Happy New Year! The district office would like our students to ease into school with some STEAM activities and other fun activities for the first couple of days. Therefore there is no spelling this week and minimal math. We will make winter hats, build cardboard boats, and work on winter math. 

Please take note of the following:

1. Have your child bring their charged chromebook each day.

2. Have your child memorize multiplication facts each night. They can make flash cards, you can ask them facts while driving in the car, etc.

3. Toys/balls and other items not related to our curriculum from home are not allowed. 

4. Field trip: Feb. 11th (more info to come)

5. Please consider saving some of your used wrapping paper, boxes, and bags along with other supplies such as Scotch tape and sending them to school with your child on January 6th. We will begin the New Year building forts, rockets, houses, etc. out of these supplies. Students should be prepared to share their supplies with their classmates and to work with a variety of partners.
