Most assignments are turned in on Google Classroom. For daily updates, please join our Google Classroom as a guardian.
Grades are updated on PowerSchool at least once a week. To monitor your student's progress, I recommend that you check their grades regularly. Please see the information below to learn how to access PowerSchool.
If you choose to request Independent Study for your student, please let us know as soon as possible! Your student will receive an Independent Study assignment on Google Classroom. Please have your student reach out to me if they have any questions regarding their work.
Students should always be reading! For independent reading, students can read any book that they want. (We recommend that they alternate between "fun" reads and "challenging" reads.) Here are some resources for students to access free books and ebooks:
Class Library - Students are more than welcome to borrow books from my class library any time!
San Jose Public Libraries (SJPL) - All students will receive a library card to access our local libraries.
Sora - an app on students' Chromebooks that allows them to check out ebooks from SJPL (link here).
Libby - another app that allows students to check out ebooks from SJPL (link here)
