I’m Scott Danner, and I’ve had the privilege of serving as a school counselor at Union County High School for the past 7 years. I grew up in Woodlawn, IL, where I proudly wore the Cardinal mascot. In my college years, I’ve been a Racer, Razorback, and Hilltopper, and now I’m excited to be a Brave.
My wife, Ginny, and I have been happily married for 21 years. We have two wonderful children: our daughter, Elly, who is graduating from Owensboro Catholic this year, and our son, Landon, who is currently in 8th grade at Owensboro Catholic.
I’m a big fan of travel, and I’ve been fortunate enough to visit places like the Caribbean, Ireland, and this coming summer, Alaska. When I’m not traveling with my family, I spend most of my free time on the road with Landon’s club soccer team, traveling across the state and region for their games. My future travel wants are to go to England and Germany and watch some soccer!
In my work as a counselor, I take great pride in being available to students for whatever they need—whether it’s academic support, social guidance, or help with post-high school planning. My goal is always to be a resource for students as they navigate their high school years and prepare for the future.
