This suspension allowed districts flexibility within their re-entry plans/scheduling options in an effort to comply with MS State Department of Health and Center for Disease Control guidelines as a result of the ongoing impact of COVID-19 during the 2020 – 2021 school year.

On August 3, 2020 the Union County School Board approved the amendment ensuring a minimum of 90 hours of instruction is provided for each Carnegie unit of credit offered and 45 hours for each on-half (1/2) unit offered for the 2020-2021 school year.
