UCSD Return to School Plan 20/21
The State Board of Education approved a suspension of the minimum of 140 hours of instruction required for each Carnegie unit of credit offered and 70 hours for each one-half (1/2) unit offered for the 2020 – 2021 school year (Process Standard 13.2 of the Mississippi Public School Accountability Standards, 2020. This suspension allowed districts flexibility within their re-entry plans/scheduling options in an effort to comply with MS State Department of Health and Center for Disease Control guidelines as a result of the ongoing impact of COVID-19 during the 2020 – 2021 school year.

On August 3, 2020 the Union County School Board approved the amendment ensuring a minimum of 90 hours of instruction is provided for each Carnegie unit of credit offered and 45 hours for each on-half (1/2) unit offered for the 2020-2021 school year.

In addition a map is provided to show best internet accessibility in the parking lots of each school. These school parking lots can be accessed each day beginning at 4 pm. For access to school parking lots during school hours in order to maintain safety measures, the school must be contacted prior to parking in the lot with name of the student, a vehicle description, and tag number.

This is an announcement for all students that will ride the bus. Students that will be picked up on the early morning route should be ready for pick up at their normal time. Morning students will depart the school at 10:50 a.m. to return home. All morning students will be dropped off before afternoon students are picked up. Afternoon students should be ready for pick up by 11:25 a.m. Schools will run this schedule and make adjustments as they deem necessary going forward. We look forward to seeing all of our students on Monday.
