2nd International conference  "Food & Climate Change"

About the conference

After the successful organization of the conference in 2021, which was attended by 120 scientists from 15 different countries, we are pleased to announce the second conference, which will be held on October 16-17, 2023 at the University North, University Center Koprivnica.

Climate change may cause significant changes in the environment that could pose a serious threat to food production and security. As part of World Food Day, which is celebrated worldwide every year on October 16 to promote food security, the aim of this conference is to bring together leading scientists from Croatia and abroad to discuss the impact of climate change on the environment, possible solutions to mitigate it, and its impact on all aspects of food production, distribution, availability and security.

Scientists as well as students of all ages, elementary and secondary school teachers, and industry professionals are invited to participate as active or passive participants. 

Participation in the conference will be free of charge. All abstracts received by (01. 08. 2023) ... extended to 5.9.2023. will be evaluated and, if they meet quality standards, will be included in the Book of Abstracts. 


The conference will be held for two days and participation is possible "in person" (in the premises of the University North at the University Center Koprivnica, Trg dr. Žarka Dolinara 1, 48000 Koprivnica) or "online".


Scientists will have the opportunity to present their work in the form of an oral or poster presentation in the following sessions:
