I am an associate professor at the Physics Department of Milan-Bicocca University (Italy) and affiliated member of the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN).
I started my career as theoretical particle physics, but since 2005 I have gradually shifted my interests toward cross-disciplinary applications of theoretical physics, artificial intelligence and quantum computing, to simulate and investigate dynamics in complex biomolecular systems.
In 2017, I co-founded Sibylla Biotech, a company that exploits a novel paradigm for rational drug discovery called PPI-FIT (Pharmacological Protein Inactivation by Folding Intermediate Targeting), fuelled by our enhanced sampling algorithms for molecular simulations.
