We want everyone to enjoy the conference and feel able to contribute in an open, safe, and welcoming environment.
General principles
We wrote the CoC with the following principles in mind:
Science in the service of peace and openness. This conference is grounded in the belief that scientific inquiry should advance human knowledge and contribute to the common good. We affirm the independence of science from dual-use agendas and reject any form of political, ideological, or commercial appropriation of scientific work.
The research presented and discussed here is part of a collaborative, transparent, and peaceful pursuit of understanding - not a tool for stirring up conflict or advancing strategic, commercial, or political interests.
Commitment to inclusivity and non-discrimination. Any form of discrimination - including but not limited to ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or cultural background - is unacceptable. This conference is a space where all individuals are welcomed, respected, and encouraged to participate fully.
Specific rules at the conference venue
We expect all conference participants to treat others with dignity and respect, and to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner at all times. Communications during the meeting should be suitable for a professional audience and considerate of people from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives, specifically:
Be kind to others and do not insult or demean other attendees.
Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate and will not be tolerated.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to: offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of discussions, inappropriate physical contact, and unwanted sexual attention.
Negative or exclusionary remarks about any identity — including sexual orientation, gender identity, or religious beliefs — are unacceptable.
Contributions to discussions should be made with a constructive and positive approach.
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the conference and potential exclusion from future events.
If you wish to make a complaint or a report regarding violations of this code of conduct, you should contact any member of the organizing committee, email lossconeincomo_AT_gmail.com or use this form
