Corfu is a verdant Greek island in the Ionian Sea, famous for its rolling olive groves, dramatic cliffs, and crystal-clear turquoise bays shaped by centuries of Venetian, French, and British rule. Since 2007 Corfu has been inscribed on the UNESCO world heritage list.
The workshop will be held in the conference hall of the Mon Repos Palace, situated on the Analipsis hill in the area of Paleopolis.
It's a beautiful park with a small palace, built in the 1800s, once used by royalty. It has ancient ruins, walking paths, and rare plants, making it perfect for a peaceful visit.
The Mon Repos Conference Hall is about 3 km from Corfu Town. It is accessible:
via taxi (approx. 5-10 mins from town/airport);
via bus: Blue City Bus Line 2A.
by walking along Garitsa Bay.
We have many recommendations for things to see, do, and eat in Corfu Town, courtesy of our Corfu expert and local, Michalis!
One of the main things to see in town is Corfu's Old Fortress. This is an imposing building jutting out into the sea, reachable by bridge. The entrance is about 10 euro.
For relaxed immersion into the island's life, try exploring Corfu Old Town without a map: you'll definitely get lost in this labrynth of historic buildings, restaurants, cafés, and artisinal shops, but you'll enjoy it!
