Aims of the project
In a nutshell - project objective
The aim of the project is to evaluate and validate a didactic interaction prototype of a 360 telepresence application with HMD Head-Mounted Display. More accurately, it aims to study the teacher-student interaction of a prototype of “Interactive VR360,” or in other words, a prototype of a “VR360-Based Telepresence,” which allows the inclusion of students who cannot participate in face-to-face activities
At the methodological level, the project is developed around four basic lines:
- the participatory design and implementation of the technological application
- the testing of teaching strategies in different contexts of disciplinary application
- the validation of the teaching strategies and the application and the evaluation of the impact of the project with respect to the objectives considered
- Dissemination of the initiative, dissemination of results and release in opendata of the application and documentation
Current status of the work
In the first year of the project, the sub-objectives achieved are as follows:
Preliminary requirements analysis - Done
Study and prototype development of the application to deliver synchronous immersive teaching with 360 video - In progress
Identification and generation of teaching strategies for effective application of the technological solution - In STtarting Progress
