The 2nd International Conference on Applied Photonics and Electronics 2019 (InCAPE 2019) has been successfully held on 22nd August 2019 at Palm Garden Resort, IOI Hotel, Putrajaya Malaysia. The conference was organized by the School of Microelectronic Engineering in collaboration with the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
As the field of photonics are very broad which include uses of lasers, optics, fiber-optics, and electro-optical devices in numerous and diverse fields of technology such as alternate energy, manufacturing, health care, telecommunication, environmental monitoring, homeland security, aerospace, solid state lighting, and many others, there is a need to have a specific conference that caters to these research areas. As such, the inception of the first conference of InCAPE in 2017, followed by this 2nd edition of InCAPE 2019 which focuses on applied photonics in particular, and a broad range of electronics discipline as well.
This year, a total of 68 papers were accepted, with the presence of 2 keynote speakers and 10 invited speakers. It is hoped that this conference will not only provides an excellent platform to share the research results and dissemination of useful information, but will also be beneficial in terms of ensuring the relevancy of the research undertaken.
Last but not least, a heartfelt gratitude to all the committee members for their unwavering dedications and commitments, and a big thank you to all the generous sponsors for their supports in ensuring the success of this conference.
The International Conference on Applied Photonics and Electronics 2017 (InCAPE2017) has been successfully organized on 9th August 2017 at Avillion Port Dickson by School of Microelectronic Engineering and Advanced Communication Engineering (Centre of Excellence), Universiti Malaysia Perlis and supported by IEEE Photonics Society and IEEE UniMAP Student Branch. In line with the development on the electronic-photonic integration, InCAPE is dedicated to cutting edge research that addresses scientific needs of academic researchers and industrial professionals to explore new horizons of knowledge on various electronics and photonics related fundamentals and application.
