Prof. Dr. Darminto is a distinguished Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, specializing in the development of advanced carbon materials from biomass for electronic, energy storage, and photovoltaic applications. He has established himself as a prominent researcher with multiple granted patents in nanomaterials and superconductivity. His academic excellence was recognized nationally as the runner-up Academic Leader in Science (2019) and internationally by the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) with a Lecture Medal in 2016. Prof. Darminto maintains extensive global research networks, including long-standing collaborations with RIKEN Nishina Center and the Synchrotron Light Research Institute, contributing significantly to high-impact international publications and the advancement of sustainable material science.

Associate Professor Dr Shahrul Kamaruddin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Bandar Seri Iskandar, Perak, Malaysia. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, in 1996. He later pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, where he earned his Master of Science in 1998 and subsequently completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2003. Throughout his career, he has accumulated valuable industrial experience in several manufacturing sectors, ranging from heavy industries to electronics manufacturing. His professional and research expertise spans industrial engineering, manufacturing processes, product design, and manufacturing system optimisation, with a strong focus on bridging academic research with real industrial applications. His research interests include simulation and modelling of manufacturing systems, production planning and control, maintenance engineering and management, and manufacturing processes, particularly in the context of improving productivity, reliability, and operational efficiency in industrial environments.
