HOW TO APPLY
The application form is available on the website of the Italian Physical Society.
Please send by email to the Scientific Secretary (vladislav.gavryusev@unifi.it) the filled application, the recommendation letter and your publication list (including talks and posters).
Deadline for applications: 18 April 2024
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Applications from every education level (Master's, PhD, PostDoc) and status (working in Academia or Industry) are welcome.
The course level is tailored for PhDs at any year and young PostDocs. It may be accessible for Master students who are close to completing their Thesis and have given all exams, although maybe challenging on some topics.
Students are requested to attend all lectures and seminars.
The number of students at the Course is limited to about 60. If the number of applications will be larger than the maximum allowable number, a selection will have to be carried out, giving higher priority to PhD and young PostDoc applicants, according to SIF guidelines. Nonetheless, no one should refrain from applying.
The application will be evaluated after the closing date (18/04) and the Scientific Secretary will let you know if it will be accepted shortly after that date.
The supervisor may cite any papers he/she deems relevant in their recommendation letter.
You are welcome to send the recommendation letter, the filled application and the publication list directly to the Scientific Secretary by email as attachments.
The lectures will be held at Villa Monastero, Viale Giovanni Polvani, 4, 23829 Varenna LC https://maps.app.goo.gl/4R7pJSjfn5vopKdd6
