Prof. Leonardo Fallani (Dept. of Physics and Astronomy UNIFI) and Prof. Paola Verrucchi (CNR-ISC) will present the discoveries that led to the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics to Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for their experiments with entangled photons, which established the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneered quantum information science.
The lecture will have an introductory level and will be accessible to all the Bachelor and Master students in physics, even with no background in quantum physics.
A day dedicated to the presentation of the Degree in Physics and Astrophysics of the University of Florence, where our program is inserted.
All Bachelor and Master students are invited to participate (refreshments and beers will be offered!).
More information coming soon.
Antoine Browaeys is Professor of Quantum Optics at Universitè Paris-Saclay (France) and Senior Advisor of the French quantum-computing company PASQAL.
He will give an introductory lecture to quantum simulation experiments with programmable arrays of ultracold Rydberg atoms trapped in optical tweezers. All students are invited!
