Different setups are available for CW photoluminescence spectroscopy and reflectance in the temperature range 10-300K (cold finger cryostats). Different laser/LED sources cover the range from UV to IR. Flat field spectrometers coupled to CCD detectors and/or photomultipliers and APD detectors.
Picosecond laser sources with harmonic generators allow to explore a spectral range from UV to NIR. Time correlated single photon counting setup (50 ps time resolution) and synchroscan streak camera (5 ps time resolution) are available for resolving in time photoluminescence signal. The covered spectral range is from 250 nm up to 850 nm for setups. Cold finger cryostats are available for temperature dependent measurements in the range 10-300K.
Two micro photoluminescence setups are available. One operating at room temperature, the other in the range 8-330K. The low temperature micro-PL setup is a custom confocal microscope equipped with a low-vibration continuos He-flow cryostat. The system allows to perform PL maps by means of controlled xy stages with piezotranslators. In both systems CW and time resolved PL detection is available with CCD and APD detectors (up to 50 ps resolution) covering a spectral range from UV to NIR. A Hanbury-Brown and Twiss interferometer is coupled to the low temperature microPL setup for second order intensity correlation measurements.
