We are organizing a IEEE BIBM workshop that aims to bring together researchers, both from academy and industry, as well as practictioners and students to share ideas, results (even in first stage), about network science and artificial intelligence applications in the fields of bioinformatics, biomedicine & health informatics.
We encourage submission of short and long papers as well as poster (2-page formats). We are planning to invite all the contribution to a special issue of a SCOPUS indexed journal.
For those joining online, please find the meeting link below: TBA
Network science is a successful paradigm for the study and understanding of complex systems, including biological systems. Pharmacology and drug discovery leverage the network biology to better understand the complex interactions between drugs, targets and disease for designing new molecule or identifying repurposed drugs. Most recently graph neural network expressed to be a potential game changer in deciphering the inherent complex interaction patterns in a complex network more precisely.
This workshop intends to highlight novel research in the area of network science and network medicine coupled with representation learning and its application to biology, medicine, and pharmacology. We try to focus on following broad areas but not limited to:
1. Network Representation Learning
2. Graph Convolution Neural Network
3. Network Embedding
4. Heterogeneous network integration
5. Network Alignment
6. Disease module detection
7. Network Drug Discovery and Repurposing
