all registered students will be included in a Google group email account ic-mo403-mc900-l@unicamp.br (the character before @ is the letter el)
students' emails to be included are those provided by the academic office of the university (DAC)
students' emails will be included as soon as made available by DAC, about 15th of September; everybody will be notified
any problems with a student's email should be reported as soon as possible to the course instructor (see below)
email postings from outside of the group will be rejected
the group will be used to communicate with the instructor and among the students
the group may be used only for subjects related to the course; any abuse will result in being removed immediately from the group and possibly other sanctions
direct messages to the instructor should be sent to tomasz@unicamp.br
messages may be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish
regular classes will be held online on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14:00 to 16:00 (at most)
usually up to 30 last minutes will be used to answer questions
questions may be asked in English, Portuguese or Spanish, and will be usually answered in English
additional individual attending can be scheduled on request by email
live lectures will be held using Google Meet; the current instance will be announced through the group email
only registered students will be allowed to join the lectures; eventual auditors may be authorized by the instructor but they must contact him before the lecture
during the lectures all student microphones should be kept muted in order to avoid background noise interference
microphones may be unmuted if a student wishes to ask a question; then they should be muted again
students are encouraged to ask questions
in case the reception is very poor it may help to turn off the student's camera
each lecture will be recorded by the instructor and its copy will be available here
when on line it may help to turn on the closed caption (CC) feature which provides automatic English subtitles of the presentation by the instructor; the precision of these captions is not always very good; recorded versions do not provide subtitles
