Abstract: This project aims to empirically investigate the dynamics of the constitution of the Traditional Agricultural System (TAS) of some peoples of the middle Jequitinhonha River (MG), as well as the impact and risk factors that threaten and transform it. Operating with theoretical discussions from multispecies ethnography and decolonial critique, it intends to contribute to the dissemination and deepening of discussions in Brazilian anthropology in this field, as well as to position itself in the international debate. It is also hoped that this project will provide input for discussions in the field of public policies that work with the maintenance and safeguarding of TASs.
