The Research Centre for Indigenous Ethnology at Unicamp celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025, and since its foundation, it has been a landmark for researchers and students interested in topics related to Indigenous peoples and other traditional populations. Featuring a multidisciplinary team, CPEI facilitates dialogues across diverse knowledge areas and promotes the articulation between all levels of teaching and research, in addition to fostering outreach activities. The Centre maintains a public calendar of seminars and study groups, provides a dedicated study and research space, and engages with the University, public authorities and civil society in advocating for the rights of traditional peoples and communities.
