How to reach Università della Calabria and hotels in Cosenza/Rende?
Airport:
The Università della Calabria can be easily reached from the International Airport of Lamezia Terme (SUF), which is about 50 km far from the University in Rende. From the airport it is possible to reach the cities of Cosenza and Rende and the University area choosing different bus services (ferroviedellacalabria, autolineeromano, autolineefederico), or taking regional Trenitalia trains (from Lamezia Terme Aeroporto to Castiglione Cosentino or Cosenza), booking tickets on www.trenitalia.com, or renting a car at the Lamezia Terme airport.
By car:
The Università della Calabria is accessible from the A2 'Autostrada del Mediterraneo Salerno-Reggio Calabria' highway, taking the exit 'Rende' (Cosenza Nord).By train:
The closest railway station served by high speed trains (FrecciaRossa) is located in Paola (30 km far from Cosenza), where trains coming from different places in Italy usually stop. Once in Paola, you can both take a local train to Castiglione Cosentino (3 km distant from the University) or to Cosenza railway station (8 km distant from the University).
