Scope of the Meeting
The meeting is primarily aimed at PhD students and young researchers. The topics covered are interdisciplinary, with particular attention to topics in Mathematical Analysis, Numerical Analysis, and Mathematical Physics. The event is structured in two parts.
The first part includes two 12-hour courses. The first course, held by Prof. M. Galewski, provides an introduction to the monotone method in nonlinear analysis; in particular the aim of this course is to introduce the student in the theoretical issues related to monotone operators with emphasis on their continuity, coercivity and surjectivity. The second course, held by Prof. W. Kryszewski, is dedicated to the theory of $C_0$-semigroups of linear operators; in particular this lecture series provides a rigorous introduction to the theory of $C_0$-semigroups of linear operators, covering fundamental results, generation theorems, perturbation theory, and applications to partial differential equations (PDEs). The two aforementioned courses are included in the PhD program in Mathematics and Computer Science of University of Calabria.
The second part includes invited talks and poster presentations by the meeting participants.
The meeting follows the previous editions of 2014, 2016 and 2019, 2025.
