Venue, travel & accomodation

The conference will be held at the University Club of University of Calabria in Arcavacata di Rende. 

A regular public bus service is available through Consorzio Autolinee TPL with bus lines 136 and 138 (check here for the precise timetable), running throughout the day in both directions, stopping directly at the University of Calabria (Arcavacata di Rende). From there, it is a short walk to the University Club. Alternatively, the University can also be reached on foot from Quattromiglia in about 15–20 minutes.

Airport:
The University of Calabria, located in Rende, is easily accessible from Lamezia Terme International Airport (SUF), which is approximately 50 km away.

From the airport, you can reach the city of Rende and the university area through various transportation options:

• Bus Services: Several bus companies, including Ferrovie della Calabria, Autolinee Romano, Lirosi and Autolinee Federico, operate routes connecting the airport to nearby cities and the University of Calabria.

• Train Services: Regional Trenitalia trains run from the “Lamezia Terme Aeroporto” station to either “Castiglione Cosentino”. Tickets can be purchased online at Trenitalia website. The airport is connected to the Lamezia Terme Centrale train station through a shuttle service.

• Car Rental: Car rental services are available at Lamezia Terme Airport for those who prefer to travel independently.

• Uber: Private taxi service available via app and website. Availability in the Lamezia Terme and Rende area may vary, so it is recommended to check in advance. 

Private transfer services from Lamezia Terme Airport may be arranged either by selected hotels for their guests (please refer to the table below for details), or through independent private agencies. To book a transfer with a private agency, participants are required to send an email to newitinery@gmail.com specifying their attendance at ATMA2026. The cost of the private transfer is €130 per way, for up to a maximum of 8 people per way. The total amount is shared among the passengers, depending on the number of people in the group.   

By car:
The Università della Calabria is accessible from the A2 'Autostrada del Mediterraneo Salerno-Reggio Calabria' highway, taking the exit 'Rende' (Cosenza Nord).

By train:
The nearest major railway station is located in Paola, approximately 30 km from Cosenza. Long-distance trains from various parts of Italy frequently stop at this station. From Paola, travelers can continue their journey by taking a local train either to Castiglione Cosentino (located near the University of Calabria). Tickets can be purchased online at Trenitalia website.
