Lucía Alejandra Rodríguez Aceves Professor of Entrepreneurship University of Bergamo (Italy)
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ITESM, 2005), a Master’s degree in Administration (ITESM, 2008), and a Ph.D. in Administrative Sciences with a specialization in Strategy and Knowledge Management (EGADE Business School, 2014). Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Young and Family Enterprise (CYFE) at the University of Bergamo in Italy. I also serve as a visiting professor at the National Polytechnic Institute (UPIICSA-IPN) in Mexico and at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) in Argentina. Additionally, I am amember of the Mexican National System of Researchers (S.N.I. Level 1- CONAHCYT) in the area of Social Sciences and a member of the Research Group on Entrepreneurship at EGADE Business School.
Previously, I was a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Guadalajara campus for eight years in the Department of Entrepreneurship, where I also taught in the Master’s in Engineering Management (MEM) program. Additionally, I have been a visiting professor at the University of San Diego, California, and was responsible for producing the annual Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Jalisco report for five consecutive years.
My academic contributions include co-authoring scientific articles published in internationally indexed journals such as The Journal of Technology Transfer, European Business Review, and Journal of Knowledge Management. I have also co-authored various chapters in books published by prestigious international publishers like Cambridge University Press, DeGruyter, and Routledge. Additionally, I have presented my research at various international conferences, including the Academy of Management (AOM) Conference, focusing on entrepreneurship, family business, and knowledge-based development.
From a practitioner side, I have mentored over 100 entrepreneurship projects led by students from the "acceleration semester program" at Tecnologico de Monterrey, which I coordinated for eight consecutive terms, as well as other initiatives under the IEEGL entrepreneurship programs. As an entrepreneur myself, I have co-founded and supported two ventures, including PhD Talks, a web platform designed to make science accessible to everyone through video summaries.
