Alberto Cialdea
Alberto Cialdea has been Full Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the University of Basilicata since 1994; previously he was at the University of Ancona, University of Salerno, University of L'Aquila and Sapienza University of Rome.
His main research interests are: potential theory, partial differential equations, completeness theorems, differential forms, Lp and functional dissipativity, operator theory, boundary integral equations, semi-bounded differential operators, contractive semigroups.
He has authored more than eighty international publications, including two monographs and several chapters in books, as well as numerous papers in the proceedings of international conferences. He is also the editor of several Proceedings of International Conferences.
He is editor of ``Applicable Analysis''.
In 1989 he was awarded the ``Gioacchino Iapichino'' Lyncean Prize for a published or unpublished work in Mathematical Analysis. Recently, he was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Ilia Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia).
He has taught different courses of Mathematical Analysis, Higher Analysis, Functional Analysis, Partial Differential Equations for the Degree in Mathematics and courses of Calculus for the Degree in Chemistry, Geological Sciences, Biotechnology and Computer Science. He is also active in PhD educational activity, teaching PhD courses and supervising PhD students.
He has also distinguished himself for his managerial activities, having, among other things, served as Head of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Basilicata from 1998 to 2006, and as a member of the Academic Senate of the University of Basilicata from 2002 to 2006. He has been PhD coordinator for four cycles at the University of Basilicata. He is currently (from November 2020) Coordinator of the of the Council for the Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mathematics.
Among his scientific-organizational activities, he has been a member of the organizing committee of some international conferences, visiting professor and keynote speaker for several international conferences.
