Associate Professor of Earth System Physics, Planetary, Space and Climate Physics (PHY-05/B)
Since October 2015, I have held a permanent position as an Associate Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Physics at the Department of Engineering (up to 2 September 2024 School) of the University of Basilicata.
From October 2018 to October 2020 I was the Deputy Rector for the Quality Assurance policies of the University of Basilicata.
In March 2017 I obtained the Italian qualification necessary to become a Full Professor in Earth and Atmospheric Physics.
In April 2013 and December 2014, I was a visiting Scientist at the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT).
In December 2008, I was selected as a member of the International Radiation Commission (IRC) for the 2009-2012 term. In December 2012, I was confirmed for the 2013-2016 term.
From July 2006 to October 2015, I held a permanent position as a Tenured Assistant Professor of Experimental Physics at the Faculty (before August 5, 2012) and School (now) of Engineering at the University of Basilicata.
From December 2001 to July 2006 I worked at the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis of the Italian National Research Council (IMAA/CNR), Potenza, Italy with a permanent position of research technician (Prof. Vincenzo Cuomo).
From May 2001 to December 2001, I held a temporary researcher position at the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Italian Council of Research (IAM/CNR) in Naples (Dr. U. Amato).
From April 1999 to April 2001 I held a temporary researcher position at the group of Applied Spectroscopy of the University of Basilicata, led by Prof. Carmine Serio.
From April 1998 to March 1999, I held a fellowship in Solar Physics at the University of Naples, ''Federico II'', (Prof. L.A. Smaldone). In the same year, I collaborated with the group of Plasma Physics at the same University led by Prof. U. De Angelis.
I graduated in Physics from the University '''Federico II'', Naples, Italy, supervisor Prof. C. Marmolino.
