Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy

Since its foundation in 1975, the Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy (IPEN) has been dedicated to the regulation, promotion, supervision, and development of research activities on applications of Nuclear Energy. The nuclear plant OSCAR MIROQUESADA DE LA GUERRA (RACSO), located in the Carabayllo district, was founded in 1989 and is supplied with an RP-10 Reactor, a Science Laboratory, a Radioisotope Production Plant, a Laboratory for Dosimetric Calibrations, and a Radioactive Waste Management Plant. The senior management operates from the main site in the San Borja district, where a Zero Power Reactor (RP-0) and the Higher Center for Nuclear Studies (CSEN) are also hosted.

This year, the venue is hosted at the IPEN main site, located at Av. Canada N° 1480 – San Borja. The venue is served by the following:

Train - Line 1 (La Cultura Metro Station).
Bus line - Red Corridor Service 201 (Guardia Civil Bus stop).
Bus line - Red Corridor Service 209 (Guardia Civil Bus stop).
Bus line - Red Corridor Service 201-209 (Guardia Civil Bus stop).

The venue can be easily reached by a 5-minute walk from GUARDIA CIVIL BUS STOP Stop or a 10-minute walk from LA CULTURA METRO STATION.
