Dr. Michael Bechtel

Dr. Bechtel is an Associate Professor of Science Education at Wartburg College, located in Waverly, Iowa. 

He currently teaches biology, chemistry, agriculture, and physics!

Tortoises are not the only animals he takes care of in his classrooms; he takes care of animals like bunnies, rats, snakes, lizards, poison dart frogs, and even arachnids like tarantulas!
