Welcome

Dear Students - Welcome to this interactive presentation on Assistive Technology Supports for Students with Special Needs. Assistive Technology (AT) is any device software or equipment that helps people work around their challenges. Its selection and use go hand-in-hand with service and support. This site provides information on leading frameworks, support systems, and resources relating to Assistive Technology. Typically, each school district takes a team-based approach and the principal or vice-principal is a key representative on the team. While it is the Special Educators who hold specific expertise on IEP development and Assistive Technology Supports, the administrator holds LEA authority for key AT decisions. I hope you find this site useful to you as you consider and explore the topic of AT Supports.
