The main objective of the project is to develop a system for tourist tour planning based on social network analysis (SNA).

The envisioned system will provide a travel plan to support the end users once they have given some basic inputs in relation to their recommended Points of Interest (POI) to visit in the given destination. The user profile and his network of friends will aid in recommending that user’s destination POIs. Several models of interaction between the user and the system will be considered to adopt the best case scenarios. The linkage of the user and his network of friends in terms of the recommendations for the given destination will be drawn to satisfy the user’s taste as close as possible. The system will be compliant with the existing e-Tourist solutions and seeks to gain from a typical behavior of a user on the Web 3.0 which acts within a social network rather than isolated in whatever online activity (alike the selection of the destination POIs).
