WHO CAN APPLY

Participating students must be enrolled in post-graduate courses in Brazil or abroad. Post-docs are welcome to apply.

Applicants will be evaluated by the SPSAS-Precision Livestock Farming organizing and scientific committees. They will be selected based on the letter of motivation, abstract of the research project, supervisor recommendation letter, academic transcript, and the applicant’s CV.

The applicant´s country of origin will also be taken into consideration, in order to include participants from all continents. Organizing and scientific committee aim to achieve gender equality in the group of selected applicants. 

Up to 100 applicants will be selected: 50 Brazilian residents and 50 foreign residents.


FUNDING AND FEES

Funding

The São Paulo School of Advanced Science in Precision Livestock Farming (SPSAS PLF) is funded by FAPESP. International selected participants, Brazilian residents outside of São Paulo State will have the expenses covered as follows:

Visa expenses will not be covered. Foreign participants from countries that require a visa to enter Brazil are responsible for covering their own visa expenses. 

Selected students who live in Jaboticabal-SP, Brazil will not receive a travel allowance.

FAPESP scholarship holders must use resources from the Technical Reserve of the respective Scholarship to pay for their expenses. The same applies to transport costs if the course activities involve travel to a city other than the one in which their Research Scholarships are developed.


Registration fee

Selected attendees will be required to pay a registration fee of R$ 250 for South American participants and US$ 100 for participants from outside South America.


DOCUMENTS REQUESTED

1) Motivation letter, written by the candidate, specifying the importance of the course for his/her training;

2) One-page summary of the research project developed by the candidate;

3) Letter of recommendation from the candidate’s advisor;

4) Updated school transcript (in English or Portuguese) of the current or most recent study (enrolled or concluded);

5) CV with relevant aspects of scientific work (including publications in international high impact scientific journals).

 

Only PDF format files will be accepted.

The documents must be submitted in English or Portuguese.
