We are excited to witness your skill development and the practical application of various tools in the field of metabolomics. We kindly request that you make your travel arrangements promptly.
The School is free of charge and also offered as a special topic course within the Graduate Program in Chemistry and Biotechnology at IQ-UNESP. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to enroll and earn the credits established in the syllabus. Please check this information in the "Registration" tab on the main menu.
We will consider the registration order as "early bird gets the worm" or "first come first served" since we have a maximum capacity in our Central Anfiteatre.

Investigating infochemicals responsible for inducing phenotypic changes in plants, animals, and algae; exploring metabolites involved in responses to predation and environmental changes; understanding chemical mechanisms related to defenses and adaptation; studying metabolites participating in symbiotic interactions; and examining metabolites immersed in evolutionary processes.
Dr. Fausto Carnevale Neto (orcid.org/0000-0002-9364-933X)
Hexagon Bio, Natural Product Chemistry.
Dr. Carnevale Neto is a senior scientist specializing in integrating large-scale metabolomics measurements and employing orthogonal compound identification tools. His research focuses on accelerating the discovery of new therapeutically-relevant secondary metabolites encoded in the global metagenome of fungi.
Prof. Maria Eugenia Monge (orcid.org/0000-0001-6517-5301)
Centro de Investigaciones en Bionanociencias - CIBION
Prof. Monge's research group specializes in developing MS-based metabolomics and lipidomics analytical methods with applications in health and the environment. Additionally, her group has made significant contributions to preprocessing LC-MS data for quality control procedures in untargeted workflows.
Prof. Mónica P. Cala Molina (orcid.org/0000-0002-8198-726X)
Universidad de los Andes - UNIANDES
Prof. Cala Molina has made significant contributions to the research on secondary metabolites with antioxidant properties in Colombian aromatic plants since 2011. Her expertise includes utilizing GC-MS, LC-MS, and CE-MS techniques. Additionally, since 2012, she has applied high-resolution mass spectrometry-based non-targeted metabolomics and lipidomics in various research areas, including biomedical applications in breast cancer.
Prof. Ricardo R. Silva (orcid.org/0000-0001-6378-0479)
School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto - FCFRP-USP Sao Paulo University.
Prof. Silva's main interest lies in the application and development of methods for interpreting phenotypes using molecular information from large-scale sampling techniques (Omics Sciences).
Dr. Tiago F. Leão (orcid.org/0000-0003-1034-9153)

Dr. Leão's primary focus lies in developing efficient and rapid machine learning tools to address bottlenecks in human medicine, facilitating advanced data analysis and interpretation.
