Dr. Jacelyn Smallwood Ramos is an assistant professor in the English Department at the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamón. She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in TESOL from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in English from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. With seventeen years of teaching experience at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels, including work with adult immigrant learners, she currently coordinates the Online Course Committee and teaches both in-person and online courses. She also completed a virtual educator certification through the Continuing Education and Professional Studies Program at UPR-Mayagüez. Her research interests include best practices in online course design, language and the diaspora, and translanguaging as a resource for language learning.
Jardel holds a degree in Languages from the Federal University of Viçosa, where he researched how emotions, especially shyness, affect students’ willingness to speak English. He earned a Master’s in Language Pedagogy (English Teaching) from Universidad Casa Grande, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a thesis on oral fluency techniques. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Languages and Cultures at the University of Jaén, Spain. He serves as a reviewer for Trem de Letras, TESL-EJ, and Resenhando, and is a member of ALAB and a research group in applied linguistics. He teaches English at UTEQ’s Faculty of Education and collaborates on projects with Brazilian scholars focused on English teaching in Ecuador. His research interests include second language acquisition, learner emotions, teacher identity, methodological innovation, and ICT in language education.
Scott Thornbury is a renowned educator, author, and teacher trainer in English Language Teaching (ELT), originally from New Zealand. He holds a Master’s in TEFL from the University of Reading and has taught in countries like Egypt, the UK, and Spain. Thornbury co-developed the Dogme ELT approach, promoting spontaneous, learner-centered teaching. He has authored award-winning books such as Natural Grammar and Teaching Unplugged. He was editor of the Cambridge Handbooks for Language Teachers and taught in the MA TESOL program at The New School from 2007–2020. He also served as Academic Director at iTDi. Now based in Spain, he remains active in global ELT through writing and teacher training.
Ana is a lecturer in ELT at the EFL Teacher Education Programme, Facultad de Lenguas, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. She also works at a Teacher Training College in Cordoba. She is a categorized researcher in the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and a former Fulbright scholar. Her research focuses on multimodality, teaching English to young learners, and technologies applied to the field of second language education and social justice education.
Edwar Antonio Prieto Rodríguez is a seasoned expert in TESOL and bilingual education, with over 20 years of experience in the field. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education at the University of Salamanca and holds a Master’s in English Didactics from Universidad de La Sabana, as well as a TESOL certificate from Anaheim University. His academic journey includes a Fulbright internship at the University of California, Davis, where he explored innovative English teaching methodologies. He has served as a teacher at leading institutions in Colombia and the UK and is an official Cambridge ESOL examiner. In addition to teaching, he works as a teacher trainer and consultant with Colombia’s Ministry of Education and the British Council. His research interests include English curriculum design, language policies, and sociocritical approaches to education.
Carina Andrea Scally holds an MA in Applied Linguistics (EAU) and a specialty in Foreign Language Didactics (UNC). She has been an EFL teacher at different levels in both public and private institutions at different levels of education. She is a lecturer in a teaching training course in Neuquén, Argentina. Her areas of interests include material design, intercultural communication and project-based learning.
María is a Teacher, Teacher Trainer and Researcher. She works at primary and secondary levels, and she is a professor at Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos FHAyCS Argentina. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English, a Master's in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and postgraduate studies in Foreign Language Didactics. Passionate about teaching, she loves working with children, teenagers, and adults. Her teaching philosophy comes from her deep love and respect for learners. Her areas of specialization are teaching English as a foreign language and neurolinguistics.
Sonia is an educator and researcher from Argentina. She is a university professor at multiple institutions and has served as coordinator of the Initial English Education Program at Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Additionally, she has completed postgraduate studies in Education and Technology, as well as Foreign Language Didactics. She is actively engaged in professional development initiatives as a committee member of the Teacher Association of Entre Ríos. Her research interests encompass teacher education, social and curricular justice, and digital literacy.
First-generation college graduate from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and business minor. A recent Fulbright scholar who taught English in Panama City, Panama at the Specialized Superior Technical Institute (ITSE) throughout 2024. I am currently a recruitment and admissions coordinator for a nonprofit educational organization known as Onward We Learn in the state of Rhode Island, USA. In addition, I am preparing to serve as a coach/mentor in the six-week Come On Out Global English Camp this summer in Japan.

She earned her Bachelor in Secondary Education, major in English, from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2008, and completed 18 graduate units toward a Master of Arts in English Language Teaching (MAELT) in 2015. Currently serving at Pacita Complex National High School, she leads various academic and extracurricular initiatives, earning recognition such as the Bayanihan Service Excellence Award for her commitment to student growth, innovative instruction, and community engagement.
Carlos Montalvo Patiño, Bachelor of Education Sciences; Master of Education, with 40 years of teaching experience at different educational levels, from preschool children and students with special needs to young people and adults in undergraduate and graduate programs at various universities. He has worked as an International Oral Examiner for the University of Cambridge since 2004 and as an Academic Consultant for various international publishers, as well as for renowned public and private institutions. He currently serves as an official translator and interpreter for the consulates of the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, as well as for the Court of Justice of Guayas and Galápagos and the Attorney General's Office.
