UNE College of Dental Medicine (CDM) participates in the ADEA AADSAS traffic rules. AADSAS traffic guidelines stipulate that applicants selected for acceptance will be notified no earlier than December 13, 2024 for the current application cycle.
Not all applicants will receive a final admission decision on December 13, 2024. However, this is the earliest date that an applicant will be notified of an "accept" or "waitlist" decision.
The UNE CDM utilizes a waitlist. As vacancies become available from the initial group of accepted students for the class entering Fall 2025, we call upon individuals from the waitlist to fill these spaces.
All waitlisted applicants are encouraged to utilize the AADSAS academic update period to verify additional coursework completed after application submission. Waitlisted applicants who complete a prerequisite course after the final AADSAS academic update period are highly encouraged to request that their official transcript reflecting completion of the prerequisite course be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions at UNE. The mailing address is provided below.
Applicants who are accepted but have outstanding prerequisite courses to complete are considered "conditionally accepted." Any and all conditions for acceptance will be outlined in the applicant’s decision letter. Applicants who are accepted to the UNE CDM must complete all prerequisite courses with a letter grade of "C" or better prior to matriculation in order to transition from conditional acceptance to full acceptance.
Accepted applicants must submit an initial enrollment deposit by the deadline(s) listed in the decision letter in order to secure a seat in the class entering Fall 2025.
Offers of acceptance issued between December 13, 2024 and January 31, 2025 will have 30 days to submit the initial enrollment deposit. The second enrollment deposit will be due in April 2025.
Deposit deadlines for applicants accepted after January 31, 2025 may vary, but will still follow AADSAS traffic rules. Applicants accepted after January 31, 2025 may be required to submit the entire enrollment deposit at once.
Applicants will be notified of any and all changes of application status via email. Accepted students should continue to monitor their email accounts regularly for additional updates and information.
All students accepted to the University of New England's Doctor of Dental Medicine program will be required to successfully complete and pass a criminal background check prior to starting the program. Students will be given additional information after acceptance. Please note that results of the background check may affect acceptance status.
Please feel free to reach out to the UNE Office of Graduate Admissions at (gradadmissions@une.edu) at any time throughout the application process with questions.
