I'm not your average blogger – I'm a seasoned professional with over 33 years of experience in the underground utilities industry. Since 2006, I've been at the helm of Underground Systems (formerly A-1 Installations), specializing in trenchless construction techniques.

From cable drops to complex fiber optic installations, I've seen it all. My background also includes traditional trenching methods, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the advantages of HDD. In fact, I'm a certified Ditch Witch HDD operator (2016) and a strong advocate for using the right tool for the job.

But my expertise goes beyond drilling. As the CEO of Underground Systems, I'm responsible for all aspects of the business, from project management to accounting. This experience gives me a unique understanding of the financial considerations and logistical complexities involved in HDD projects.
