Fostering Sustainable Water Resource Management

Our research group aims to provide new understanding and solutions to foster sustainable water resource management through modeling, laboratory analysis, and integrated environmental assessment. Increasing complexity in human-water systems requires an integrated view on water-related issues. Our work investigates these complex systems, drawing on engineering, hydrology, economics and the social sciences. Much of the groups current and past work is centered on developing integrated models for water quality assessments on emerging contaminants, such as endocrine disrupting compounds, nitrogenous disinfection byproducts, and antibiotic resistance.
