Lab Presentation: Research in Neuro -Cognitive: Studying Minds, Bodies and Brains

Speakers: Professor John Gero, Professor Aidong Liu, Sarah Abdellahi, Ali Algarni, Jeba Rezwana

Abstract: New methods for studying human cognitive, physiological and neuro-cognitive behavior provide opportunities for graduate students to include such studies in their own research. Low cost devices for the measurement of physiological responses and non-invasive brain imaging have made it easy and feasible to carry research out. This talk will exemplify the kinds of results you can obtain from:

  • Studying the mind using protocol analysis,

  • Studying physiology through eye-tracking and emotion tracking

  • Studying the brain through EEG and fNIRS.
