Fall '23 Preceptors by Course

Preceptor Program

Students: When to contact a preceptor?

When you don't understand an assignment...

When you are struggling with the course content...

When you know you need help but don't know which campus resource to contact...

When you have a question about a course, major, activity, club, etc...

When you want to learn how to be successful at Charlotte...

Preceptors are current students that promote academic success in the classroom. They assist faculty with active learning and by serving as a bridge between instructor and student. Preceptors typically work in specific sections of 1000 and 2000-level courses, assisting students with both the understanding and comprehension of the academic content of the class and with the acclimation/transition to the university.
