Artist Portfolio

My name is Ashlynn Gunter and I am a mixed-media artist. In my practice, I focus on printmaking, collage, and fibers, but enjoy all media. I've recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BFA concentration in Art Education. I am an artist because I love connecting with others through creating and sharing art. My work reflects my love for fibers, collage, printmaking, and combining all three. I often create smaller works at a time that are later incorporated into larger pieces. Each piece is tied to another. My work plays a role in a cycle, echoes of old pieces return and grow into something new. These connections between my work, myself, and my environment create a feeling of comfort and tranquility. Heavily inspired by cyclical nature and sentimentality, my style reflects my safe place in my subconscious.
