Hey everyone! My name is Sarah Branagan and I am a Senior at UNC Asheville. I am majoring in Environmental Management and Policy with minors in Psychology and Professional Writing. I am also working towards an Enviornmental Education Certificate. I am super excited to be leading the UNCA Student Audubon Chapter's on-campus events for the year! With a focus on developing engaging educational campus programs and events, uniting our chapter with other UNCA environmental initiatives, and ensuring a bird-friendly campus environment, I strive to develop a strong group of life-long avian advocates. Joining this chapter two years ago has given me so many great opportunities to get involved on campus and within the community and I cherish the opportunity to organize and represent this fantastic student-led chapter! Can't wait to meet all of you!
Salutations! My name is Paulina Jones, vice president and treasurer of the UNC Asheville Audubon Chapter. Currently, I am completing my senior year at UNCA. My major is in Environmental Management and Policy and my minors are legal studies and biology. With in interest in bridging the gap between science and policy, I am eager to lead this chapter's efforts in shaping its members to become eloquent science-based policy advocates. I hope to guide UNC Asheville's Audubon Chapter on a shared educational journey with focus on conservation policy, environmental advocacy, and bird-friendly business practices within our Asheville community. Happy birding folks!
Hi, my name is Madison (pronouns: she/her/hers), and I am the secretary and social media coordinator for the UNC Asheville Student Chapter! I study art and environmental science. I am from Massachusetts and spent much of my childhood in the Berkshires, which is where I developed my love for nature. My interests include landscape design, habitat restoration, bird watching, and native plant gardening. I believe it's our responsibility to help reduce negative environmental impacts and support our ecosystems! Audubon's advocacy for birds and their habitats inspires me, and I am excited to work alongside this fantastic organization!
