My name is Elliot Knight, I am from Gastonia, North Carolina. I moved to the Asheville area in 2019, where I still live. When I moved to Asheville in the eighth grade, I met all the friends I still have today, and I learned a lot about myself. I grew as a person, facing challenges I hadn’t faced before. Plus COVID and that whole sequence of years challenged me mentally, physically, and educationally. During this time, I also immersed myself in hobbies and interests. In eighth grade, I joined a running club, which helped me fulfill my joy of running. I developed friendships by playing video games and watching anime. In the middle of high school, I rediscovered my passion for reading and writing, and I have been deeply involved with those hobbies ever since. Writing has been an important passion in my life. I hope to one day publish novels of my own. I got my first job almost two years ago and I have worked there since. I have made many friendships in the workplace and learned many skills when it comes to customer service and stocking shelves. I am most proud of the extremely deep and long-lasting friendships and bonds I’ve made throughout the years. I would not be who I am without the people around me, and I wholeheartedly cherish them all.
