Welcome to my website!Â
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. I received my Ph.D. in Applied Economics from a joint program run by the Universities of Cantabria, the Basque Country, and Oviedo, and I hold undergraduate degrees in both Economics and Political Science from the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
My research and teaching are in the areas of Political Economy, Institutional Economics, and Public Policy. I am especially interested in how political decision-making and economic reform processes are shaped by the institutional environments in which they take place. Over the years, I have also been fortunate to spend extended periods as a visiting researcher at Florida State University (USA), Aarhus University (Denmark), CESifo Group Munich (Germany), and WU Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria).
Currently, I am featured among the top 10% of authors (last 10 years) in the IDEAS/RePEc rankings.
