I am an Industrial Engineer and Statistician with a Master’s degree in Statistics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, as well as a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, USA; under the supervision of Dr. Kristen Schell.

I have been a professor in the Department of Statistics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia since 2020. Since 2023, I have also been the coordinator for extension of the department.

My research focuses on statistical and operational research methodologies, with particular interests in spatio-temporal predictive modeling, machine learning, and probabilistic forecasting. My work addresses applications in renewable energy and supply chain management, combining statistical modeling and computational methods to develop predictive and decision-support tools.

During the first half of November, 2026; I will be at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, France, to work with Dr. De Lara on the proposal for the Ecos Nord call 2027, fulfilling the duties of the grant received.
I will attend CLAIO 2026 to present "Optimizing wind farm portfolios: A risk-mitigation approach to strengthen renewable integration and market resilience," on Nov. 23-26, 2026 in Bogotá, Colombia.
