Prof. Dr. Amin Mousavi Khaneghah is an internationally recognized researcher and academic specializing in food safety, food science and technology, food biotechnology, emerging food technologies, food preservation, food allergens, and risk assessment. He is currently affiliated with the Integrated Technologies Application and Research Center (BÜTAM), Ankara University, Türkiye, and the Halal Research Center of IRI, Iran FDA, Ministry of Health. He previously served as a Senior Researcher at ITMO University, Russia.
His academic and research career has focused on addressing contemporary challenges in food safety and quality through innovative processing technologies and multidisciplinary approaches. His research interests include food authentication, mycotoxin detection and mitigation, allergen reduction, food traceability, preservation, functional foods, advanced food packaging, and emerging food-processing technologies.
Prof. Mousavi Khaneghah has received significant international recognition for his scientific impact, including recognition as a Highly Cited Researcher by Elsevier and inclusion in the Stanford/Elsevier World’s Top 2% Scientists list. His work has received more than 52,000 citations, with a Scopus h-index of 81 and a Web of Science h-index of 75.
He has authored over 600 peer-reviewed publications, seven books, and numerous book chapters. He also serves in prominent editorial and scientific leadership roles, contributing significantly to the advancement of food science, food safety, and public health worldwide.
Prof. Dr. Budiman Minasny is a Professor of Soil-Landscape Modelling at the University of Sydney and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. He is also the Theme Leader for Soil, Carbon and Water at the Sydney Institute of Agriculture.
Prof. Minasny is an internationally recognized soil scientist and a leading expert in digital soil mapping and modelling. He was previously awarded the QEII Fellowship and Future Fellowship by the Australian Research Council and has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by the Web of Science from 2019 to 2025.
He obtained his undergraduate degree from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Indonesia, and his Master of Agriculture and PhD degrees in Soil Science from the University of Sydney. His research focuses on understanding and managing soil resources to address major global challenges, including climate change, food, water and energy security, and biodiversity conservation.
Prof. Minasny has published more than 200 papers in international scientific journals and is widely recognized for his pioneering contributions to digital soil mapping and soil modelling. He is also a member of the Net Zero Institute, Sydney Southeast Asia Centre, and China Studies Centre, contributing to interdisciplinary research addressing global environmental and sustainability challenges.
